Position Summary Information Minimum Qualifications Members of the Marching Band Media team must be students at Appalachian State University and have demonstrated proficiency at one or more of the following skills: Developing social media platforms for a business or organization, photography, videography and/or graphic design. License/Certification Required none
Essential Job Functions Members of the Marching Band Media Team will build a social media presence to advertise the activities of the Marching Mountaineers at Appalachian State University. They will create projects involving photography, videography, sound recording, and graphic design with the aim of developing an online audience through a variety of online platforms including, but not limited to, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Work Schedule/Hours 7-12 hours per week, however, during band camp (Aug. 8-17) that number could grow to 20-40 hours per week. Number of Hours Per Week between 7 and 40 Number of Months Per Year 11 Mandatory Staff
Physical Demands of Position Standing for long periods of time (2+ hours at a time)
Being outside in typical summer and winter temperatures and weather conditions
Walking short/medium distances between University Music Building and practice facility/stadium
Hiring Range $10.90 Pay will be commensurate with applicant competencies, budget, equity and market considerations.
