Staff Accountant @ Sports Advertising Marketing Firm

Our client is a Global Sports Media Entertainment Tech Firm with a very young environment and culture has opened a newly created role on their Accounting Team.Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Their team is seeking someone with at least 2 years of experience that will report to the Head of Team working along side many internal operational and marketing sales teams. This team is 3 days in office.Responsibilities:Review all Accounting transactions and invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment receivedAnalyze and Review Revenue RecognitionPost and code all invoices into the accounting software system ensuring careful accuracy and precisionUpdate weekly check register in a timely and efficient mannerResearch all vendor discrepancies and follows up on all adjustmentsFields accounts receivable inquiries from internal customers and external vendorsFile and maintain all paid and unpaid invoices and statementsProvide analytical, administrative, clerical and project support to accounting department xhyhwjd and managementSkills/Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree is a Must; Degree in Accounting is preferred2+ years high volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable TransactionsProficient with Microsoft ExcelUnderstanding of Income Statement, Revenue, Balance Sheet and Expense Accruals is needed
