Product Marketing & Community Lead

OriginLab · Los Angeles, CA, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Los Angeles, in office. San Francisco considered.

The role
Our customers incldue the researchers and engineers building models all the way up to AI lab CEOs, with the BD and partnerships teams in between. We're hiring someone to make sure all of them know our work and trust it, online and in person. You'll follow the field closely, share our research in ways researchers read and pass along, and make sure our work comes up when new models, papers, and benchmarks are being discussed.

This is a hands-on role, working directly with our CEO and CTO. We're a small team, and so you have a lot surface area to own and influence. You'll have real research to talk about from day one and a large say in how Origin Lab is known in the field.

What you'll do

Own the product direction of our websites, dataset pages, Hugging Face presence, and programs for our game company IP partners, and do the work to ship them

Work with our CEO and CTO to make sure the research and products we ship get the attention and credit they deserve

Turn our research and dataset releases into posts, threads, blog pieces, and launches, and help our researchers share their own work

Connect our findings to the papers, model releases, and benchmark results people are already discussing

Be active on X, Reddit, and Hugging Face every day

Represent and oversee Origin Lab at research and AI/data conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, and ICLR, and at AI meetups in Los Angeles and San Francisco

What we're looking for

5+ years in marketing, including a similar role at an AI company

You've owned websites, product pages, or programs yourself, from setting direction to shipping

A deep, professional interest in AI. You keep up with new models, papers, and benchmarks and have informed opinions about them

Active on X, Reddit, and Hugging Face, with profiles you can share with us

Excited about the research and academic side of the field, and comfortable talking with researchers about their work

Able to explain our work to a researcher, a BD lead, or a lab CEO, and to bring research findings into public discussion in a way researchers find accurate and useful

Sound judgment about what to say in public, including on questions about data rights and licensing

Comfortable representing the company in person

Nice to have

Experience marketing datasets, developer tools, or other technical products

Familiarity with world models, spatial AI, or multimodal data
