Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Technician role based in Stafford, VA. The Audio Visual Technician will install, configure, and maintain AV systems including displays, projectors, speakers, and control equipment in commercial and hospitality environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up video conferencing solutions, adjusting lighting and sound settings, running and terminating cabling, and integrating AV systems with security and networking components. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing routine maintenance, documenting installations, and providing clear guidance to clients on system use. The technician will collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete installations on schedule, maintain safety and quality standards, and support ongoing service calls.
Qualifications

Strong skills in Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot AV issues efficiently, with experience diagnosing hardware, cabling, and signal path problems.
Hands-on experience with Video Conferencing platforms and equipment, including setup, testing, and optimization.
Knowledge of Lighting and Projectors for commercial and hospitality environments, including calibration and control systems.
Familiarity with basic networking concepts and structured wiring related to AV and security systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
Comfort working on-site, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and following safety protocols.
Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in commercial AV, security systems, or related technical roles preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in AV or low-voltage systems are a plus.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites in the region as needed.
