Communications Director

A local church in Sumter, SC is hiring a Communications Director to help strengthen messaging, enhance engagement, and support organizational initiatives across multiple channels. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset and a passion for helping others stay informed and connected. Direct Hire | 100% Onsite | Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

Serve as the project manager for communications initiatives

Manage and update the church website, social media platforms, and mobile app

Maintain marketing content, event calendars, and communication updates

Help unify communication efforts across all ministries and departments

Attend staff meetings and collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure events, initiatives, and announcements are effectively communicated

Support overall branding and messaging consistency

Qualifications:

College degree preferred

Alignment with the organization's mission, values, and culture

Experience managing website content and digital communication platforms

Familiarity with social media management and online engagement strategies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and project management abilities

Compensation & Benefits:

$50,000 - $55,000, based on experience
