Corporate Communications Intern at Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP)

Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) is seeking a creative and proactive Corporate Communications Intern to support its Communications team. This is an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in public relations, marketing, social media, photography, and videography. The intern will work closely with the Communications Manager and Community Liaisons to develop internal and external content.

Key Responsibilities

Research, edit, write, and design communication materials for internal and external audiences.

Create and manage social media content, digital graphics, and company-wide emails.

Interview employees and write engaging stories for internal distribution.

Assist in photography and videography projects.

Ensure accuracy, organization, and thoroughness in all assigned tasks.

Support mid and senior-level team members as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Currently pursuing a degree in Communications or a related field.

Strong writing and editing skills .

Excellent verbal and written communication .

Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

Must pass a criminal background check .

Must pass a drug and alcohol test .

Flexible hours within Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Internship opportunities available during Spring and Fall semesters .
