Description
The Sr. Director, Media Operations builds how Harvest media delivers one standard way of working across activation pods and retailers, so quality is truly scaled. Reporting to the VP of Media and Marketing, this individual builds and leads a growing team that supports media activation pods and partners with other media leadership.
This hybrid role combines media operations with strategic planning, product, and program management, and operates across several core areas: delivery standards and service design, capacity and resourcing, profitability and scope governance, workflow tooling, AI, and platform enablement, and training and capability building. This individual also drives progress against the organization's growth goals and owns measurable outcomes, including gross margin recovery, revenue per head and utilization, onboarding cycle time, and scope leakage.
This is a remote position. For this role we prefer that candidates are based out of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NV, NJ, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, or WI.
Responsibilities
Own delivery standards and the repeatable service model across activation pods and retailers, including the service blueprint, RACI by client tier, stage‑gated onboarding, and what we deliver at what scope
Own the rollout and implementation of internal and external programs and products: build adoption goals and milestones, identify key stakeholders and roadblocks, equip and train the working team, track implementation through KPIs, and proactively remove barriers to scaling
Build, lead, and develop the Operations team, including those who support the operating rhythm inside each activation pod (workflow, accountability, and client goal tracking), and create clear career paths as the organization scales
Support capacity and resourcing, tracking who works on what against revenue, surfacing capacity risk before it reaches a client, and reporting on profitability and scope governance, giving function owners the visibility to make resourcing decisions
Oversee centralized team for auditing, onboarding, and activation support
Own workflow tooling and standard operational analytics, dashboards, and templates (capacity, profitability, scope, delivery health, and workflow), with workload visibility in Monday.com, to reduce manual effort and create greater consistency and scale. Performance analytics sits outside this role
Lead AI enablement by creating and deploying AI skills and workflows that reduce manual work across retailer APIs, Skai, and reporting, and train the team to use them
Build and run training and enablement, including role profiles, and project‑manage retailer and industry readouts, with content owned by partner and functional leaders
Partner with the media leaders and client leads to align Operations priorities with client needs, resourcing, and delivery
Manage the Operations budget, support vendor and platform joint business plans, and investment cases for resources
Requirements
10+ years of experience in operations, strategic planning, product, or program management, with direct experience in a media or agency environment and a strong understanding of its service model
7+ years of experience leading project managers or a PMO, including workflow, RACI, and stage‑gate processes
5+ years of leadership experience, with a track record of building and scaling teams and influencing cross‑functional partners
Proven track record of creating adoption goals, and the ability to design and roll out standard ways of working across multiple teams and client accounts
Strong business acumen, including capacity and resource planning, forecasting, and budget management
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including comfort presenting to senior leaders and clients
High level of ownership, curiosity, and a solution‑oriented mindset, with success leading a distributed, remote team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), BI Platforms, and workflow tools such as Monday.com, with hands‑on experience using LLMs to build AI skills and automated workflows
Preferred
Experience in retail media operations, including working with multiple key retailers and services (Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Sam's Club, Amazon, Media, Shopper, Digital Commerce) and platforms such as Skai
