UX/UI Focused Web Designer Job at Vatikcreative in Norfolk

VATIK is a results-driven marketing and web agency based in Norfolk, VA. We build high-converting websites for service-based businesses, primarily contractors and local service companies.

We are not looking for a hobbyist.

We are looking for a serious web designer who understands conversion, structure, and user behavior. If your portfolio is mostly SaaS dashboards, crypto projects, or e-commerce stores, this is not the role for you.

Our first objective: a full redesign of our own site.

What You’ll Do

Design responsive, conversion-focused websites and landing pages
Create clean, strategic mockups and prototypes in Figma before build
Own design direction without needing constant input
Implement or update sites using builders like Elementor, Webflow, or similar
Align UX with SEO and marketing strategy
Occasionally create supporting assets (icons, banners, pop-ups)
What We’re Looking For

Strong portfolio of service-based website projects (contractors, construction, law, medical, local services)
Proficiency in Figma
Deep understanding of mobile-first UX and user flow
Clear grasp of basic SEO structure (hierarchy, internal linking, layout for search intent)
Ability to perform independently at a high level
Bonus

Familiarity with CRO principles
Experience reviewing Analytics or user behavior data
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
