Chinese-Language Social Media Manager

Are you looking for something fun and fulfilling to do this summer? Are you looking to actively use your Chinese skills and connect with Chinese-speaking students? Do you want to be an influencer? Look no further! ☀️📱

As part of our Chinese-language social media team, you'll make a post a week on Douyin/Xiaohongshu — this can be an informational post, a funny skit, or even a day in your life! You'll also be in charge of actively responding to prospective students and serving as an ambassador for ConnectPlus!

Volunteer Requirements

You can speak, read, and write Chinese at a fluent level (CEFR C1 or above) — no need to be a native speaker or born in China!

You can dedicate 2 hours/week to this position (all work will be asynchronous: you'll receive a task to complete in a WeChat group chat once a week. There may be occasional meetings as required).

You can download Douyin and Xiaohongshu, and can commit to checking those platforms at least once a day.

Additional Information

This is an unpaid position.

The post may count as either an internship (if you are 18+ with US work authorization) or a volunteer opportunity, but not both.

Volunteer certificates and recommendation letters will be available on request.
