Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Outerwear/Jackets Designer for an immediate freelance opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apparel design, specifically within outerwear and jackets, and be comfortable contributing to a fast-paced design environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop outerwear and jacket styles.
- Collaborate with the design team on seasonal concepts and product development.
- Research trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and design details relevant to outerwear.
- Create sketches, CADs, and technical design specifications.
- Assist with fabric, trim, and color selections.
- Support the design process from initial concept through development.
- Ensure designs align with brand aesthetic and seasonal direction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience designing outerwear and jackets preferred.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Must be available to start immediately and commit to a 2–3 month freelance assignment.
