Part-Time Editor (Fully Remote)

Play a key role in shaping daily news coverage by editing, fact-checking, and refining content from staff writers and freelancers.
Ensure every story meets high editorial standards while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and a compelling voice.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit stories for tone, structure, grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style, collaborating with authors on revisions.
Verify information and uphold journalistic integrity, ensuring factual accuracy and compliance with editorial guidelines.
Format and prepare articles for publication using the CMS, and collaborate on headlines and visual selection.
Qualifications:
At least four years of editing experience in a print or digital newsroom.
Exceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills with fluency in AP style.
Strong news judgment and knowledge of U.S. progressive politics and current affairs.
