Design Director

Design Director/Creative Director Our client is an award winning international architectural & design firm, specializing in hospitality design for domestic and international restaurant, bar, and food/beverage projects. We are seeking a Design Director/Creative Director to join their Dallas office. This is a leadership role with growth potential. Responsibilities

Develop conceptual designs and strategies for clients Provide our team with guidance and ideas to launch new impressive projects, as well as working strategically with existing clients to evolve and develop their brands Directing and motivating teams of architectural designers, interior designers, project managers & graphic designers Collaborate with the wider creative and management team to obtain knowledge to ensure that the clients' requirements are being met. Monitor performance of team efforts and propose actions for the future Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas Architectural & interior design, including brand positioning, brand development, concept creation and schematic design Develop creative new ways of presenting our designs to clients & oversee creative design output Interact and present designs to our clients and developers Develop 2D rendering and 3D models to communicate design intent on software such as Sketch‐Up Coordination with consultants, suppliers and vendors Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Interior Design 15+ years of progressive experience in hospitality and restaurant experiential design, including leading significant projects such as brand creation or repositioning A strong portfolio demonstrating original, brand-led thinking and accomplished built work, particularly restaurants or other guest-focused environments Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role Outstanding leadership and organization skills and ability to motivate team members Experience conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion Software familiarity in Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Cloud Strong communication, presentation, mentoring, and client relationship skills, with professional written and spoken English
