About the Studio
Bubba’s LA is a creative content studio specializing in motion design and animation. For more than 10 years, we’ve created award-winning work that combines thoughtful design with memorable storytelling.
We’re a small team, so you’ll have a real voice in the work and collaborate closely with the people making it.
What You’ll Do
- Develop visual concepts, treatments, and designs that give projects a clear creative direction.
- Lead projects from early exploration through final execution, staying involved in the work along the way.
- Give artists clear, useful feedback and help them solve creative challenges.
- Present ideas to clients, explain your creative choices, and translate feedback into actionable direction.
- Partner with production to keep the creative goals achievable within the schedule and budget.
- Mentor artists and make room for their ideas and strengths.
- Balance several projects while keeping the details - and the bigger picture - in view.

- A portfolio that shows strong design, typography, storytelling, and execution. We’d love to understand your role in the work you share.

- Experience directing artists and keeping a team aligned across multiple projects.
- The ability to talk through ideas clearly with clients and collaborators.
- Good judgment about when to keep exploring and when to make a decision.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to give, receive, and work through feedback.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Maya, Houdini, Blender, or Unreal Engine.
- Experience working directly with brands.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technology, with an interest in finding practical uses for them in the creative process.
