Digital Content VISTA

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps · Sacramento, CA, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Step Up's VISTA project is organized around three strategic pillars: Resource Innovation, Scalable Reach, and Brand Prominence. Each pillar addresses a specific organizational barrier limiting Step Up's ability to reach low-income girls and young women at scale: insufficient fundraising infrastructure, insufficient community infrastructure to enter new markets, and insufficient visibility to ensure young people in those markets know Step Up exists. The project will seek to build the organizational capacity, community infrastructure, and fundraising systems needed to expand Step Up's programming into new markets, develop a partnership model for young women and teen girls, schools and districts and elevate Step Up's national visibility to ensure young people in low-income communities across the country can access the mentorship and career readiness resources they need to move out of poverty and into economic self-sufficiency.

Member Duties

Develop a documented framework that defines what kinds of content Step Up team members should capture, for which platforms, at what cadence, and with what resources;

Create a simple, practical guide for program staff on how to capture usable content from program activities using their phones: what angles to shoot, what releases to get, what to avoid and how to upload and label footage;

Create a digital asset management system —a structured way to store, label, and retrieve content so that assets are findable and reusable across the organization;

Develop database of content to be used in initial launch of content channels and as examples of the type of future content to capture
