Social Media Manager

Embroidery Inc · West Sacramento, CA, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

We're a custom embroidery shop in West Sacramento, about 20 minutes from campus. People order hats and apparel on our site (Richardson, Carhartt, The North Face, Nike and more), upload their logo, and we embroider and ship it in 3-5 business days. We sell nationwide, from single hats to orders of a thousand, and every piece is stitched here in our shop. Before an order goes into production, we stitch the customer's logo on a real test hat so they can approve it.

About Embroidery Inc
We're a custom embroidery shop in West Sacramento, about 20 minutes from campus. People order hats and apparel on our site (Richardson, Carhartt, The North Face, Nike and more), upload their logo, and we embroider and ship it in 3-5 business days. The role
We need someone to run and grow our Instagram (@embroideryinchq). We're at about 1,200 followers, so there's a lot of room to grow and you'd have a real say in how we do it. You'll film in the shop, edit short videos, and talk with the people who comment and message us.

You don't need professional experience. If you've grown your own account, made videos people actually watch, or run a page for a club, that counts. What matters most is that you know what makes people stop scrolling, and that you can edit.

What you'll do

Film in the shop: embroidery machines running, test-hat proofs, big orders going out the door, and potentially even appear in-front of the camera yourself (If you are comfortable with it)

Edit short videos for Reels (and TikTok or YouTube Shorts if we decide to go there)

Plan and post Reels, Stories and feed posts on a regular schedule

Reply to comments and DMs, and engage with customers and other accounts

Check Instagram Insights and tell us what's working and what isn't (We have an in-house marketing team you will work closely with)

Help pick which posts are worth putting ad money behind

What we're looking for

Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut or similar) strongly preferred

A good sense of how people talk online

Able to get to our facility in West Sacramento 1-2 days a week

Reliable, and comfortable working on your own

Any major is welcome. Film, design, communications and marketing students tend to be a great fit, but it's not a requirement

Nice to have

Photography skills

Canva or other design tools

A page you've grown, even a personal one

Why it's a good student job

Very flexible hours to work around your class schedule

You'll build a portfolio of real work for a real brand, with results you can put on your resume

You'll see how a small online business actually runs, including how paid ads work
