Location: Brooklyn, NY
Work schedule: On-site , 5x days a week
Salary: $150K - $180K

A global contemporary brand with a strong cultural footprint is seeking a Men’s Art Director to define and elevate the visual identity of its most influential category. This role blends luxury editorial sensibility, cinematic storytelling, and modern menswear culture, with the ability to concept and execute high-impact campaigns across photo, video, and multi-channel content.
This is a hands-on, founder-facing role for an Art Director who can generate elevated ideas, build compelling references, and execute imagery at the level of luxury houses and top-tier editorial magazines. The ideal candidate brings a distinct point of view, strong menswear fluency, and the ability to direct on-body imagery with confidence, taste, and precision.

About the Role
The Men’s Art Director owns the creative direction for the Men’s business — including seasonal campaigns, collaborations, product launches, and special projects. You will concept narratives, build moodboards, lead shoots, and shape the brand’s evolving visual language.
This role requires a creative who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can elevate visuals beyond formulaic approaches. You will work closely with senior creative leadership and the founder to push the brand forward through unexpected talent choices, non-traditional storytelling, and editorial-level execution.

What You’ll Do
Creative Direction & Concepting
Develop elevated concepts for Men’s campaigns, collaborations, and seasonal narratives
Build cinematic, editorial-driven moodboards and visual treatments
Reference luxury houses, contemporary culture, and high-end menswear imagery
Pitch ideas that feel unexpected, modern, and non-formulaic

Cross-Category Creative POV & Versatility
Bring a strong, contemporary point of view that extends beyond menswear into adjacent verticals including automotive, travel, lifestyle objects, architecture, interiors, and cultural environments
Concept and direct imagery for cars, boats, spaces, products, and experiential moments with luxury-level taste
Build multi-category campaign worlds that integrate apparel with environmental design, luxury objects, and lifestyle elements
Push the brand into new visual territories aligned with contemporary luxury culture

On-Body Direction & Set Leadership
Lead on-body direction for photo and video shoots
Inform lighting, posing, framing, and set decisions
Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and production partners
Run the set when senior creative leadership is not present
Make real-time creative pivots to achieve the desired visual outcome

Execution & Delivery
Translate references into final imagery at luxury-editorial level
Oversee selects, retouching direction, color grading, and crop specs
Ensure consistency across retail, digital, social, and e-commerce
Deliver high-volume creative with speed, clarity, and taste

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing, Content, and Design teams
Work closely with senior creative leadership and the founder
Manage freelancers, external agencies, and production partners
Contribute to talent casting and unexpected creative choices

What We’re Looking For

Ability to pitch elevated concepts and execute them at the level of luxury houses

Creative POV & Taste Level
Strong menswear styling instincts and casting sensibility
High taste level with references spanning luxury fashion, contemporary culture, and editorial photography
Ability to push beyond formulaic approaches and deliver unexpected creative solutions

Leadership & Execution
Confident on set; able to run shoots independently
