This role is split between two Portland companies, running ecommerce marketing for both. Shwood creates one of a kind eyewear across multiple lines, with world class partners such as Pendleton, the Grateful Dead, and Smokey Bear. Bridge & Burn creates small batch, Northwest inspired apparel, sold online and in our Portland and Bend stores. Two brands, one small team, and a lot of room to grow online.
The role
We’re hiring a Director of Ecommerce Marketing to run paid advertising and email for both brands. This is a hands on seat. You’ll make the media buys yourself, own strategy in Klaviyo, and build the testing and forecasting that tells us where the next dollar should go.
You’ll take over programs that are working and make them better, starting with a review of both and a plan we build together.
We judge success by profit, not platform ROAS. Growth that comes from spending more or discounting deeper doesn’t count.
What you’ll own
- Paid media across Meta, Google, and new channels for shwoodshop.com and bridgeandburn.com
- Email and SMS strategy and segmentation in Klaviyo
- A steady testing program, with clear write ups on what worked and what didn’t
- Revenue and spend forecasts, and a max allowable acquisition cost for each brand
- Weekly reporting by brand
You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, who leads content, and our graphic designer.
What we’re looking for
- 5 to 8 years in ecommerce growth or performance marketing, including 2+ managing people or partners
- Hands on Meta and Google buying, with $1.5M+ in annual spend managed
- Comfort with contribution margin, acquisition cost, and lifetime valueA track record of structured testing
- You use AI tools every day to work faster
- You’re a self starter who likes solving the puzzle
Bonus points for Triple Whale experience, a background in apparel or accessories, or having helped a brand grow from about $3M to $10M online.
Pay and benefits
$115,000 to $135,000, depending on experience. Health insurance and 401(k).
Portland preferred. Remote considered, with two days in Portland each quarter.
