dreamGEAR LLC is seeking a UI/UX Graphic Designer to help bring retro video game energy to My Arcade® products. This onsite role in Torrance, CA focuses on crafting user interfaces and graphic assets inspired by classic gaming aesthetics, from early concepts to production-ready artwork.
What you’ll do

Design

intuitive, visually engaging user interfaces

for retro-style video game products across different screen resolutions and platforms.
Design, create, and prepare

artwork assets

to support UI and product presentation.
Create

wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

to communicate ideas, then iterate based on feedback.
Maintain

consistency

in design language, style, and branding across UI components.
Keep current on

industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices

related to retro gaming UI/UX.
Design and prepare

user guides

that blend written instructions with illustrations, diagrams, screenshots, icons, and step-by-step visuals.
Develop and maintain layouts for

product documentation , including instruction manuals, quick-start guides, and other printed materials, with a focus on consistency, readability, and brand standards.
Support

packaging design

by creating and updating packaging artwork, layouts, product callouts, feature panels, and related graphic elements as needed.
Prepare and revise

production-ready artwork

for packaging and user guides, following specifications, templates, and print-production requirements.
What you bring

Proven experience as a

UI/UX Graphic Designer , ideally within the gaming industry.
A

strong portfolio

demonstrating expertise in designing user interfaces for retro video games.
Ability to create

pixel art and sprite animations

is a plus.
Proficiency with design tools such as

Adobe Photoshop

and

Adobe Illustrator

(or equivalent).
Familiarity with

Figma ,

Adobe Premiere Pro , and

After Effects

is a plus.
Experience designing UIs for

multiple screen resolutions and platforms .
Knowledge of

8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, and arcade digital color palettes .
Passion for video games, especially

retro gaming , with understanding of gaming culture and history.
Bachelor’s degree

or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Digital Arts, or a related field.
Strong layout and information-design skills, including the ability to present instructions and product information clearly through text and visuals.
Experience creating user guides, instruction manuals, visual instructions, or other multi-page product documentation is preferred.
Knowledge of

packaging design

and

print-production workflows , including preparing and revising artwork for production.
Comfort working

onsite

at the Torrance, CA office

5 days per week .

Compensation and benefits

Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with skills and experience
