Videographer & Camera Operator — Miami, FL
WhoIsDésir® | Miami, Broward, Palm Beach County, and select Orlando projects
About the Opportunity
WhoIsDésir® is connecting with videographers and camera operators interested in contributing to creative video production, digital storytelling, lifestyle content, interviews, promotional videos, and social media projects throughout South Florida.
We’re looking for people who understand the fundamentals of framing, lighting, camera movement, and visual composition. Whether you’re an emerging videographer developing your portfolio or an experienced camera operator looking to collaborate on additional projects, we want to learn more about your work.
This opportunity may suit someone balancing a current job, school, freelance clients, or personal creative projects. Scheduling and working arrangements depend on individual production needs.
What You’ll Do
Operate cameras and capture usable, visually compelling footage.
Apply framing, composition, focus, and camera movement techniques.
Work with natural or artificial lighting to support the intended visual style.
Capture interviews, lifestyle footage, events, promotional content, and behind-the-scenes moments as assigned.
Follow production briefs, shot lists, and direction from the project lead.
Coordinate with photographers, content creators, presenters, and other production contributors.
Organize and transfer footage according to agreed delivery requirements.
Communicate about equipment needs, production schedules, and potential challenges.
Follow the confirmed scope, deadlines, and production expectations for each assignment.
Skills We’re Looking For
Understanding of camera operation, framing, exposure, and composition.
Familiarity with lighting techniques and camera movement.
Ability to capture stable, properly focused footage.
Awareness of audio quality and basic production setup.
Professional communication, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to follow creative direction while contributing ideas.
Relevant camera equipment or editing software experience, where applicable.
Professional experience is helpful but not the only way to demonstrate your skills. Personal projects, student productions, independent work, and demo reels are welcome.
Who Should Introduce Themselves?
This opportunity may be a fit for videographers, camera operators, film and media students, self-taught filmmakers, freelance production professionals, and creatives looking to expand their portfolio.
You should be comfortable discussing your availability and determining whether a specific production schedule fits your existing commitments.
Location and Scheduling
The recruitment focus includes Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County, with potential Orlando opportunities when project needs align.
Some assignments may require travel to a production location. Specific schedules, locations, equipment requirements, and deliverables will be discussed before acceptance.
Working Arrangement and Compensation
The appropriate arrangement may vary depending on the actual responsibilities, degree of control, working relationship, and applicable law. Part-time employment or project-based collaboration may be considered where appropriate.
Compensation, schedule, scope, deliverables, footage usage rights, and other applicable terms will be communicated before an assignment is accepted. Submission does not guarantee selection or ongoing work.
