About The Role

As an SEO Content Writer at Basilio Inc, you will be an integral part of the Search Authority team, responsible for creating high-quality, search-optimized content that ranks well on Google, AI answer engines, and other digital platforms. This role requires ownership of your results, with a focus on driving ranking improvements, traffic growth, and conversion through strategic content creation and optimization. You will collaborate closely with content writers, developers, designers, and paid media teams to execute SEO initiatives that deliver tangible business value. This is a full-time, remote position ideal for a self-motivated professional eager to contribute to scaling brands and advancing their career in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent portfolio
2 to 4 years of experience in SEO content writing
Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proven experience working with SEO tools such as Surfer, Clearscope, Ahrefs, and WordPress
Advanced proficiency in Google Docs and AI platforms including ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), OpenRouter, and Qwen
Demonstrated ability to write search-first content with speed and accuracy
Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and the ability to exercise sound judgment when using AI-generated outputs
Excellent communication skills with a clear, direct writing style
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote work setup
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first, and data-driven team environment
Responsibilities

Create on-page and blog content guided by keyword and intent briefs
Structure content to optimize for search engines, AI answer engines, and reader engagement
Optimize existing web pages to improve rankings and conversion rates
Maintain consistent voice and accuracy across a high volume of pages
Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates, SERP changes, and AI answer engine developments to adapt SEO strategies accordingly
Collaborate with content creators, developers, and designers to implement SEO best practices effectively
Educate clients on SEO roadmaps, explaining the value and impact of each strategic move
Execute hands-on SEO tasks using tools like Surfer, Clearscope, Ahrefs, and Google Docs
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including paid media and account management to ensure alignment and progress reporting
Continuously measure and improve core performance metrics such as ranking, traffic, publish volume, and conversion
Adhere to deadlines and maintain thorough documentation of processes and results
Receive and incorporate feedback to enhance content quality and effectiveness
