This role involves researching fashion trends, creating design concepts, developing technical specifications, using AI tools to visualize garment designs, and collaborating with product development, sourcing, vendors, and production teams to bring designs from concept to finished product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research fashion trends, market developments, seasonal collections, colors, prints, fabrics, and silhouettes relevant to women's apparel.
  • Use AI-powered design tools to generate fashion concepts, garment variations, print ideas, mood boards, and visual references.
  • Develop original designs for women's clothing, including dresses, tops, pants, skirts, outerwear, and other apparel categories.
  • Create hand-drawn or digital fashion sketches, technical flats, colorways, and design presentations.
  • Prepare and maintain tech packs, including garment measurements, construction details, fabric specifications, trims, and artwork placements.
  • Collaborate with product development, technical design, merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to develop commercially viable products.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers on samples, prototypes, fittings, revisions, and product specifications.
  • Review samples for design accuracy, fit, fabric quality, color consistency, and overall appearance.
  • Use AI-generated concepts as a starting point and refine them into practical, production-ready garment designs.
  • Maintain organized design files, product specifications, sample comments, and development timelines.
  • Support seasonal collection development while balancing creativity, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in fashion design, apparel product development, or a related role.
  • Experience working with women's clothing or women's apparel collections.
  • Working knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, fit, sizing, and apparel production processes.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more AI-powered design tools, such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or other generative AI platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent fashion design software.
  • Ability to create fashion sketches, technical flats, mood boards, colorways, and product presentations.
  • Understanding of tech packs, sample development, and communication with vendors or manufacturers.
  • Strong creative, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A fashion design portfolio demonstrating original apparel concepts and relevant digital or AI-assisted design work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plus-size fashion, contemporary women's fashion, or fashion retail.
  • Familiarity with CLO 3D, Browzwear, or other 3D garment visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of trend forecasting, textile development, print design, and seasonal collection planning.
  • Experience taking apparel products from initial concept through sampling and production.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a fashion designer who understands both creative design and practical apparel product development. They should be able to use AI tools to accelerate the design process while ensuring that the final concepts are commercially relevant, technically feasible, and suitable for women's clothing.

Candidates should be prepared to share a portfolio demonstrating their fashion design skills, AI-assisted concepts, and understanding of garment development.

How to Apply
