Twine is hiring: Children’s Book Illustrator in New York

Children's Book Illustrator

Hello!
I am looking for an illustrator for the first book of my series Busy Brains!
I WILL NOT engage with any illustrators that use AI (I can tell when it is), so please do not bother applying if you are an AI "artist". Thanks!
The Busy Brains series serves as a resource for parents and children to help navigate the everyday challenges of a busy mind. Through comforting metaphors and imagery, self-regulation tactics, and coping mechanisms, Busy Brains opens the door to conversations with kids in the senior kindergarten to first-grade age range.
The story itself is around 27 pages, with two pages of material for the worksheets for kids, plus one page of written instructions for parents on how to handle mental health. There will also need to be a cover done, plus the back cover!
The vision is a young girl (brunette) around age 7 who is having her mind taken over by little friends (that look similar to soot sprites). I am looking for very expressive, emotion filled drawings that use colour to mimic the emotions of the story!
In what capacity are you hiring? Personal project
What experience level is needed? Beginner: $15-25 Junior: $25-35 Mid-level (Industry Average): $35-75
