OVERVIEW
Relay measures more than $500 million in annual media spend. When our media team asks whether they can trust a number, you're the person who makes the answer yes. As Manager, Marketing Measurement & Analytics, you'll own the tracking, conversions and data connections behind that answer for our clients.
One week you might plan and launch tracking for a DTC brand going live on a new ad platform. The next, you might audit a client's existing setup, find out why conversions stopped matching, and lead the fix with their developers. You'll be client-facing on a small, senior team, reporting to our VP of Innovation & Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and update Google Tag Manager tags, triggers and variables, and configure GA4 events and conversions.
- Configure and test conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft and other platforms.
- Test every change before it goes live, and investigate when numbers don't match between GA4 and ad platforms.
- Help translate campaign KPIs into tracking requirements, working with our planning and media teams.
- Apply campaign naming and UTM standards across client accounts.
- Join client calls, prepare clear instructions for client developers, and follow changes through to completion.
- Keep each client's tracking documented so the whole team can rely on it.
How success is measured
- Tracking changes go live tested, with no surprises after launch.
- Data discrepancies are caught early and flagged with a clear note on the likely cause.
- Client setups stay documented and up to date.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in digital analytics, tracking implementation or marketing operations.
- Working experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4: you've built and debugged tags and events yourself.
- Familiarity with conversion tracking on at least one major ad platform (Google Ads, Meta or similar).
- A detail-oriented approach to testing, using tools like Tag Assistant, GTM Preview or browser developer tools.
- Clear written communication and comfort explaining technical topics to non-technical teammates.
- Curiosity, ownership, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced agency environment.
Nice to have
- Agency or multi-client experience.
- Exposure to Conversions API, enhanced conversions or Consent Mode.
- Basic HTML, JavaScript or SQL.
- Experience with Funnel.io, BigQuery, Looker Studio or Shopify.
- Google Analytics or Google Ads certifications.
