Public Relations Associate Manager

lūquire is seeking a driven and detail-oriented public relations professional to help bring bold brand stories to life through strategic media relations and smart, creative execution. As a Public Relations Associate Manager, you’ll work closely with your team to develop and deliver PR touchpoints – from writing and pitching to reporting and research – that make a measurable impact.

The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, thrives on collaboration and brings sharp writing skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for emerging tools and technology shaping the future of communications.

This person must be located in Charlotte, N.C., or open to relocating.

What You Do

Execute day-to-day public relations deliverables across multiple accounts with excellence and precision

Research,developand pitch compelling story angles to journalists,influencersand other key audiences

Draft press releases,interview briefing documents,media alerts,one-pagers, talking points, and other materials in AP Style, ensuring accuracy and creativity in every piece

Research industry trends, competitors, mediaoutlets,and cultural conversations to inform client strategies

Build andmaintainrelationships with reporters across trade, local and national outlets

Monitor,track,and analyze media coverage using agency tools to producetimelyreports and insights

Plan and staff client events as needed, with responsibilities that may include researching and ordering branded merchandise, preparing run-of-show documents, and coordinating other eventlogisticstoensure smooth execution

Collaborate with internal partners across paid and owned teams to support integrated campaign execution

Stayahead of evolving communications tools and trends,leveragingAI and emerging technology to enhance storytelling, contentdevelopmentand productivity

Support team organization and workflow through thoughtful planning, thorough documentation,and follow-through

What we’re looking for

Minimum ofthreeyearsof public relations or communications experience, ideally within an agencyenvironment, with aportfolio of earned media placements

Demonstrated success in writing, pitching and media outreach across traditional,emergingandsocial channels–

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail

Ability to followthrough and proactively manage accounts

Strong understanding of how media and influencer ecosystemsoperate– andwhat makesa great story

Curiosity and willingness to explorenew technologies, including AI tools that enhance content creation, research,and reporting.

Openness to feedback anda track recordof applying it to grow and improve work

Ability to manageand prioritizemultipleclients,tasks,and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative setting

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications,journalismor related field
