Call Your Mother is the Jew-ish deli where Boca meets Brooklyn, grandma-level hospitality meets seriously good bagel sandwiches, and hard work meets face-melting vibes.
Husband-and-wife team Andrew and Chef Dani built Call Your Mother around a simple idea: make scrumptious, nostalgic food and unforgettable experiences without being bougie or taking ourselves too seriously. We’ll take bagels to mars if the locals are hungry up there.

WE’RE HIRING A SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER, BASED IN WASHINGTON, DC!
We're looking for a talented, scrappy, and highly creative Senior Graphic Designer to help bring our big personality and creative ideas to life. You'll be our go-to person for just about everything visual: packaging, menus, merch, signage, digital channels, social media, and beyond. One day you might be designing a new bagel box, the next dreaming up a ridiculous T-shirt or illustrating a bagel children’s book.

We're looking for someone with the technical skills to execute beautiful, high-quality work, but the creative instincts to know when a little rough-around-the-edges charm makes something even better. Someone who loves great design but doesn't need a big agency, a huge budget, or a perfect brief to make something awesome. If you’re picking up what we’re laying down, keep reading!

5+ years of professional graphic design experience and a portfolio demonstrating both original creativity and excellent execution, preferred experience in growing restaurant, hospitality, food, beverage, or lifestyle brands.
~ Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
~ Strong technical knowledge of print production, packaging, dielines, colors, materials, and vendor-ready artwork.
~ Experience designing across physical and digital formats, including merchandise, social media, websites, and email.
~ Experience working directly with production vendors and managing projects from creative concept through final delivery.
~ Great taste, a sense of humor, curiosity, and an appreciation for design that doesn't take itself too seriously.
~ Any additional experience in photography, video, or motion design skills; or familiarity with website CMS tools, email platforms, and emerging creative technologies.
~ BONUS POINTS if you're a pretty pretty good copywriter with a knack for clever headlines, playful wordplay, and making a few words work really hard

Design all the things. Create packaging, menu boards, signage, merchandise, print materials, and digital assets for social media, templated emails, and our website.
Create technically accurate, production-ready artwork, packaging dielines, and specifications, with a strong understanding of materials, printing methods, and costs.
Own our creative production partners. Manage relationships with printers, fabricators, merchandise suppliers, and other production vendors. Coordinate quotes, timelines, proofs, approvals, and quality control to deliver great work on time and on budget.
Brainstorm campaigns, LTOs, shop openings, brand moments, and unexpected ideas that make people smile and keep Call Your Mother interesting.
Protect and evolve our visual identity, finding the sweet spot between thoughtful design and the playful, purposefully unpolished personality that makes Call Your Mother special.
Manage multiple projects, maintain organized files and current versions, catch errors before they reach our shops, and find smart, cost-effective ways to get things done.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, People & Culture, IT, Culinary and our founders to turn ideas into reality, quickly and thoughtfully.
