Senior Copywriter

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter who can turn strategy, insights and complex information into ideas and writing that people actually want to engage with.

You’ll work across integrated campaigns, social media, digital content, video and brand communications for a diverse portfolio spanning government and public sector organisations, education, healthcare, retail, lifestyle and consumer brands.

This role is for someone who thinks conceptually and writes with purpose. You should be equally comfortable developing a campaign platform, scripting a social video, simplifying a complex message or finding the right five words for a headline.

What you’ll do

Develop creative concepts, campaign ideas, messaging and content angles from client briefs.

Write and edit copy across social media, campaigns, video scripts, key visuals, websites and other marketing communications.

Turn complex or technical information into clear, engaging and human communication.

Work closely with designers, art directors, strategists, account teams and content producers to develop integrated creative work.

Adapt ideas and copy for different audiences, platforms and formats.

Contribute actively to brainstorms, pitches and campaign development.

Present and articulate creative ideas internally and to clients.

Review and refine copy while helping raise the overall creative standard.

Stay current with culture, social platforms, content formats and emerging creative tools.

What we’re looking for

Around 5+ years of relevant experience in advertising, creative, digital, social media or content.

A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and writing across different formats.

Excellent command of written English.

Strong understanding of social and digital platforms.

Ability to understand a brief, identify the communication problem and develop a strong creative response.

Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-moving agency environment.

Strong attention to detail and a high standard of craft.

Collaborative, curious and comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback.
