We are seeking a talented and visionary Photographer who is passionate about magazine publishing and has a strong interest in the cannabis industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to the growth of our publications while also being involved in shaping the direction of branding new cannabis companies through corporate strategized photo direction and implementation. As part of our team, you will have the chance to capture captivating images and play a crucial role in visually representing the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities
Plan, scout, and execute professional photoshoots for magazine features, advertisements, and promotional materials
Collaborate with the editorial team to understand the content and vision of each publication
Develop and maintain a strong visual identity through strategic photo direction and implementation
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, photography techniques, and cannabis-related aesthetics
Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their branding goals and objectives
Translate client requirements into creative and impactful visual concepts and compositions
Provide artistic direction and guidance to models, stylists, and other creative team members
Edit and retouch photos to ensure high quality and adherence to brand guidelines
Collaborate with the design team to integrate photos seamlessly into layouts and designs
Assist in the creation and implementation of corporate branding strategies for new cannabis companies
Conduct research to gather inspiration and information for photo projectsMaintain organized file management and adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Adapt photos for various platforms and mediums, including print and digital formats
Assist in the selection and implementation of appropriate lighting, props, and setups for each shoot
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Photographer, preferably in the magazine publishing or branding industry
Proficiency in photography equipment, techniques, and editing software
Strong portfolio showcasing creative and visually impactful photography
Knowledge of current photography trends and cannabis-related aesthetics
Understanding of branding principles and corporate identity development
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
Interest in and familiarity with the cannabis industry and related visual aesthetics is preferred but not required
Bachelor's degree in Photography or a related field is preferred
