Job Description

As a Producer for TODAY with HODA & JENNA, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and creating live and taped segments for a live, daily broadcast. This person should have an enthusiasm for identifying, booking and producing content for the hour including celebrity interviews, human interest stories, lifestyle content and games. The Producer will work directly with the Senior Producers, AP's and Researchers to bring segments to fruition, delivering top quality content while maintaining journalistic and corporate standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Pitch, produce and write original content, primarily for broadcast, including researching, conducting interviews, writing scripts, field producing, shooting, as well as editing/working with editors
  • Secure guest bookings in a competitive environment
  • Create content that is original and engaging
  • Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure editorial standards of all segments


Qualifications
  • 5+ years' editorial experience working in network news or talk show production
  • Must be able to shoot and edit
  • Strong journalistic writing and research skills, as well as editorial judgment
  • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends -- often with short notice
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience in broadcast production
  • Must be willing to work in NYC

Additional Requirements:
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.


This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
