PCB Designer

As a PCB Designer, you will be responsible for creating and laying out PCB designs using CAD systems and associated software. You will design layouts for standard, dense, high-speed, multi-layer boards, ensuring proper dimensioning and designing of standard parts. Additionally, you will prepare and process basic engineering changes to existing drawings and create engineering documentation including CAD modeling, fabrication, and drawings conforming to industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout PCB designs using CAD systems and associated software.
  • Design layouts for standard, dense, high-speed, multi-layer boards.
  • Perform proper dimensioning and designing of standard parts.
  • Prepare and process basic engineering changes to existing drawings.
  • Create engineering documentation including CAD modeling, fabrication, and drawings that conform to standards.
  • Resolve moderately complex design issues by providing consultation and support to Engineering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing.
  • Provide limited support to lower-level Designers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in PCB design and electrical design.
  • Experience with CAD software, specifically Altium.
  • Familiarity with IPC-4101, IPC-6012, and related documents.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering CAD Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Work Environment:

You will work in an environment that requires precision and attention to detail, utilizing advanced CAD systems and software. The role involves collaboration with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing teams. Dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
