This role is open to remote and/or hybrid locations and involves supporting engineers and planners within the Infrastructure Business Unit. The marketing specialist will shape client connections through RFQ and RFP responses, with emphasis on thoughtful messaging and effective storytelling.
The Opportunity
As a marketing specialist, you will work with a team of engineers, architects, marketers, client managers, and graphic designers to understand client needs and communicate the companys value proposition. The position requires dissecting RFQs/RFPs and formatting compliant responses, while also contributing to the capture process with critical thinking, creativity, questions, and insights.
Responsibilities
- Shape client communications and responses to RFQs and RFPs with thoughtful messaging and storytelling.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, marketers, client managers, and designers to articulate value propositions.
- Dissect RFQs/RFPs and prepare compliant, high-quality responses.
- Think critically, be creative, ask questions, and share insights as part of the capture process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in marketing or related field and 7+ years of relevant experience within AEC marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and AEC experience.
- Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, Adobe InDesign, and desktop publishing, or other web/graphic design software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload with shifting priorities; initiative, follow-through, and confidentiality.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Solid analytical, decision-making, researching, and organizational capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant AEC consultant marketing/proposal experience.
- Experience coordinating RFP/RFQ processes for public and private sector clients, focusing on transportation.
- Knowledge of the SF 330 process.
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and/or other industry-specific certifications.
- Deltek Vision (or related database) experience is a plus.
- Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
- Ability to travel as needed.
