Job Description
The San Francisco Film School is looking for passionate and seasoned instructors to join our vibrant faculty in the following area:
- AUDIO FOR FILM
You MUST have a bachelor's degree in filmmaking (or similar) and at least five (5) years of professional experience in your field.
A reel of top-quality work is essential.
We are hiring faculty members for the Spring 2022 semester. Teachers must be able to commit to at least 6 hours of teaching per week. Since many of our classes are being taught online, you must be comfortable with remote teaching and do not have to be located in the San Francisco area to apply.
Compensation:$50 - $60 hourly
Responsibilities:Faculty members are expected to:
- Work with the school's Dean to design curricula for each class
- Foster student engagement
- Create a supportive environment for students and encourage them to do their best work
- Perform all duties related to their teaching in a timely and professional manner
- Attend bi-monthly faculty meetings
- Coordinate with school administration on student attendance and grading
Audio for Film Instructor (Recording & Post-Production)
- Minimum of five years of professional experience
- Bachelor degree in film, audio recording, or related field
- Experience working in Adobe Audition & Pro Tools
- Experience working with HD footage and knowledge of HD workflows
- Teaching experience preferred, but not necessary
