Job Title: Plumbing Designer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer to lead the design and layout of plumbing systems for various commercial construction projects, including multi-family residential, mixed-use developments, and institutional facilities. This role involves collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and clients to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems within the overall project scope.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and layout of plumbing systems for commercial construction projects.

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and clients.

Develop and refine detailed schematics, riser diagrams, and construction documents.

Conduct site visits and client meetings to assess project needs.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
Essential Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial plumbing design.

Deep understanding of plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, gas piping, and fire protection coordination.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and BIM modeling.

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite for project coordination and communication.

Familiarity with local and national plumbing codes (UPC, IPC, NFPA).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in multi-family residential design is highly desirable.

Occasional travel required for client consultations and site assessments.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for two days of remote work. The role provides opportunities for growth, including the potential to help lead the small office in Charlotte. You will work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a team based in Atlanta.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
