Summary: The primary focus of the Library Assistant 2 is providing reference service to patrons of the Idaho State Archives. The Library Assistant 2 is responsible for staffing the Reference Desk and Reading Room. The Library Assistant 2 works Tuesday through Saturday. Job Responsibilities: + Staff the Merle Wells Research Center reference desk Tuesday through Saturday. + Staff the Reading Room on an as-needed basis. + Enforce Reading Room policies and procedures for handling archival collections according to archival best practices. + Provides reference support to patron requests, both remote and in-person, using inventories, catalogs, databases, and other archives content management systems. + Supports patron services through the point-of-sale system according to the current board-approved fee schedule. + Performs basic library maintenance duties such as reshelving, shelf-reading, cataloging and indexing. + May serve on ISHS committees and projects as appropriate to the position. + Provide support to agency public programs and outreach efforts as assigned. + Some weekend and/or evening hours will be scheduled. + Performs other duties as assign To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
