Overview
The Broadcast/Production Engineer in Stamford, CT will support live sports programming by maintaining and troubleshooting studio and control room systems, managing technical setups, and leading system design and integration projects. This hands-on role demands expertise in broadcast technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a 24/7 production environment.
Compensation
$50.00/hr - $56.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot studio and control room systems
- Manage technical setups for live productions
- Lead system design and integration projects
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a television broadcast environment or equivalent experience
- BS in Engineering, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with broadcast systems: audio consoles, intercoms, video switchers, server-based playout
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks and digital TV (HDSDI)
- Ability to read signal flow diagrams and troubleshoot to module level
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work nights/weekends and be on-site full-time in Stamford, CT
- Experience with Sony cameras/switchers, EVS servers, Evertz/Grass Valley routing
- Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards, 1080P/4K HDR production
- Familiarity with Avid Media Composer/Interplay, Chyron graphics
- Experience in system design, AutoCAD, and project management
- Strong customer focus and self-starter attitude
