Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer proficient in SolidWorks to work on mechanical designs. The role involves designing control houses, boxes, and light signal structures for railroad crossings. You will be tasked with creating new product designs from scratch or modifying existing drawings to fulfill customer specifications.
Responsibilities

Design control houses, boxes, and light signal structures for railroad crossings.

Create new product designs from scratch or modify existing designs as per customer requirements.

Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure design specifications are met.

Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD 3D, and 2D to carry out design tasks.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in mechanical design.

Experience with SolidWorks.

Experience with AutoCAD 3D and 2D.

Knowledge of mechanical engineering and new product development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience with SolidWorks.

At least 1 year of experience with AutoCAD 3D and 2D.
Work Environment

You will work in a small team alongside one other engineer/designer, reporting to an Industry Expert who will provide training on industry standards and products. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
