WBZ-TV is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic on-air, multi-skilled hybrid sports / news journalist to join our team.
Boston has every level of sports – from high school to professional teams. When you’re not covering local sports, you’ll
be enterprising and producing character-driven content for our newscasts. This position requires the ability to shoot, edit, and create graphics.
You’ll also fill in producing and anchoring sports segments for WBZ and CBS News Boston. We want someone who can go beyond scores,
highlight videos, podium sound, and crime scene tape to connect with our audiences on all WBZ platforms.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong skills in both managing time well and being extremely organized
- Must be able to shoot, write, edit and create basic graphics.
- Dynamic Storytelling and Interviewing abilities
- Expert knowledge of Professional, College and High School sports
- Proven ability to work well in a team setting within a fast-paced environment while optimally meeting strict deadlines
- Willingness and availability to work independently on a varying schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimum 3-years of sports anchoring/reporting experience with extensive live field work is required.
