Alfred Williams & Company is seeking a Regional Designer to support our Carolina markets. Position Overview
This role serves as a vital design resource for multiple AWC studio locations. The Regional Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to programming and presentations and develop technical solutions to meet client needs across healthcare and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration & Communication
- Support multiple studio teams with remote and occasional in-person collaboration
- Participate in programming meetings and client presentations
- Communicate regularly with sales, project managers and vendor partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally across market teams (Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville)
Technical Design & Support
- Develop furniture plans and installation drawings using AutoCAD, CET and CAP
- Specify product lines; produce proposals and bid packages
- Prepare materials and finish presentations
- Conduct site measurements and verifications
- Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with ADA, building codes and electrical/data standards
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Interior Design (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in commercial furniture design
- Healthcare design experience is required
- Proficiency in CET Designer
- Strong knowledge of MillerKnoll products is preferred
- Comfortable with occasional travel across NC and SC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
