Job Description

The Department of Clinical Health Sciences is seeking an experienced Clinical Instructor to join our accredited program in Communication Sciences & Disorders at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. We are located in sunny Kingsville, TX, home of the legendary King Ranch and Kingsville- Naval Air Station. Our South Texas location is near the Gulf coast – vacation destination, Corpus Christi area, with beaches, birding, and fishing. We are a Hispanic Serving Institution, with a growing international population.

The Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice is for a 9-month non-tenure track position with summer teaching possible/optional. The successful applicant will be expected to supervise/instruct graduate student clinicians in the on-campus clinic and possibly some local community outreaches, teach courses in the undergraduate and/or graduate program in CSDO and provide service to the university and profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS or MA in Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Three years of experience post CCC
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Texas SLP Licensure or ability to obtain Texas Licensure
  • Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AAC
  • Clinical experience with pediatric and/or adult dysphagia
  • Knowledge in voice disorders
  • Experience coordinating and managing graduate student externship placements
