Provides reference and research services to library patrons; including answering questions at the public reference desk and responding to faculty and student requests submitted in person, by email or via or other forums.Duties:Teaches in and provides support for the required first-year legal research course.Plans and provides additional research training opportunities for faculty and students. Conducts workshops on legal research and provides guest lectures on legal research at the request of the law school faculty.Develops guides to the library collections and research aids using the University's LibGuides platform and assist as necessary with content on the Law School's Digital Commons repository and website.Serves as law library's point-person for the public facing and internal law library website. Coordinate with law school personnel for updates and revisions.Manage the law library's social media presence.Provide support and training for online resources and emerging technologies. Track trends, investigate new developments and evaluate new electronic resources for the library environment to improve library services and access to information.Participates in collection development and preservation activities, especially relating to the library's online collections.Participate in conferences related to law librarianship, legal research instruction and the use of innovative legal technology.Compile data from various sources for monthly and annual reports.Provide tours of the law library and the College of Law.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degreeSkills :Excellent interpersonal skillsStrong user-service orientationDemonstrated aptitude in the use of print and online research sources include Westlaw Precision, Lexis+, Bloomberg Law, and other online legal resources.Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.Advertised Physical Requirements:Frequent exposure to interruptions.Required to travel to professional conferences and meetings.Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry and climb.Departmental Preferences:At least 24 months of Law library reference and/or teaching experienceKnowledge of integrated library systems, such as Ex Libris Alma.Experience with technology in an academic or a legal environmentJuris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.Familiarity with website development including Drupal, Wordpress, or other common Content Management Systems.Special Instructions:
