This position is with a company that is a fully integrated marketing agency serving clients in a variety of industries including (but not limited to) retail, healthcare, banking, financial, insurance, manufacturing, energy, education and non-profits. We are seeking a
dynamic ,
responsible ,
customer-focused
individual to inspire, guide and propel our creative team.
As Creative Director, you will be responsible for the overall quality of work produced by our creative team. You’ll be a leader with the ability to maximize the talents of the team by being a coach, teacher, mentor, collaborator and critic all at once.
You should know your way around the customer experience, have a deep appreciation for all marketing competencies and channels and lead others to develop amazing experiences that drive our clients’ brands.
The ideal candidate would be skilled in creative strategy and productive brainstorming, creating inspiring work with a powerful brand presence and successfully developing a team. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be instinctively curious about culture and trends.
Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of copy, art, web, graphic and video experts to fulfill client marketing and advertising needs.
Lead teams to develop big, glorious, smart, brand-focused ideas.
Be a thought leader to clients and throughout the agency.
Operate with a high degree of integrity and enthusiasm that drives our amazing agency culture.
Efficiently and effectively express ideas across all media @types and channels.
Pitch client work with intelligence and energy.
Participate in client pitches and proposals.
Actively lead brainstorms and identify creative strategies and solutions.
Maintain excellence and client satisfaction with the creative product.
Provide effective and efficient feedback to problem-solve and improve the creative product.
Hands-on creation and production of work products.
Manage the creative process from concept to completion.
As a member of the leadership team, assist and collaborate in planning short- and long-term strategic objectives for the agency and our clients.
Be accountable for making sound financial decisions related to the department.
Qualifications
5+ years of proven, hands-on creative leadership.
Experience managing a creative team including performance management, reviews, employee development, etc.
Significant experience in all creative executions from design to content to video production Agency experience preferred, not required.
Integrated marketing and advertising experience.
Passion for your craft.
Proficiency in concepting and ideation; guiding teams to get to and recognize the “big idea.”
Understanding of brand identity and how to weave it into creative work appropriately.
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills to deliver work on time and within budget.
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A powerful sense of urgency and self-motivation.
Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to a wide range of clients including both B2B and B2C.
A positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external teams.
Strong collaboration skills and willingness to assist colleagues with projects and tasks outside of job requirements.
Hiring Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications business administration, marketing/advertising, or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Computer literacy with solid proficiency in all relevant programs including the entire Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Figma a plus.
