Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.The role of the Public Relations team is to develop strategies and lead efforts that help create and maintain a positive public image with the company's stakeholders, prospects and community and position the company as a regional banking leader within the industry and the markets it serves.At First Horizon, the public relations specialist helps to achieve public relations corporate objectives at the market level by creating and executing plans that promote the brand, support, and develop client relationships, and invest in the community in meaningful ways.This role works closely with regional and market leadership to:Develop and support a market strategy that drives client growth, prospect generation and revenue.Support multiple banking teams to develop and sustain client relationships (primarily commercial/PB/Wealth)Operationalize brand at the ground level.Position the company as a leader in the community.Integrate corporate communications and marketing strategies within regions.Promote attraction and retention of talent.Provide market level feedback to corporate communications and marketing partners Provide regional communication support to reinforce and continue to promote corporate messaging.These objectives are achieved through:Creating differentiating events and client experiences to build relationships with clients and centers of influence and promoting prospect generation.Developing and executing a community investment strategy that aligns with corporate guidelines and addresses the pressing needs of each community. Activating around sponsorships (ads, creating remarks, promoting brand awareness). Including budget management, acting as primary relationship owner of nonprofit and civic organizations, and providing ROIServing as a Liaison to CRA to help define and achieve market level CRA goals and objectives.Managing local media relations, pursuing earned media opportunities, and activating around paid mediaManaging local advertising, and promoting campaigns in partnership with marketingServing as brand advocates in community by representing the company at meetings and events.Encouraging associate engagement in the community and in the workplace.Working with the social media team to utilize local content that promotes community investments/partnerships, client events/experiences, strategic partnerships, volunteerism, and talent.Manage major sporting or arts sponsorships and venues.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
