We are seeking apassionate, creative genius who is motivated to wear the dual hat of marketing/creative directorand lead our agency’s initiatives in sharing its great work with the community. As the marketing& creative director, you will work closely with the fund development team overseeing graphicdesign, social media, public relations and print marketing to deliver engaging content.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Assumes responsibility for Agency Communications and Marketing strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains positive relationships with staff and volunteers.Responsible for completing monthly, quarterly, and annual tracking and reporting.Assists in Agency tours and special events as assigned.Work with VP of Resource Development & Communications and other senior leadership team members to help advance the fund-raising, communications and marketing interests of the agency.Establish annual plans for communications, branding, corporate fundraising and special events based on the organization’s strategic plan, increasing revenue sources to meet or exceed annual fundraising budget for organization growth and sustainability.Maintain and manage marketing budget.Lead and manage 2-3 subordinate Development team members. Evaluate and assess employee performance.Serve first point of contact for media relations. Secure media coverage for major gifts and related stories.Research, cultivate, solicit and steward the activities of prospective and existing corporate/business partners and play an essential role in retaining new and existing business.Maintain and foster relationships with existing special events partners.Direct the Agency’s external communications, design, and marketing, messaging and branding programs, including print and electronic content, design, overall presentation and delivery in ways that advance the Agency’s vision, mission and core values.Work with VP of Resource Development & Communications in the strategic development and production of Agency’s annual report, Agency newsletter; and other supporting collateral/publications.Direct the strategic development of Agency electronic marketing media, including the production of generated database-driven website.Supervise the design and content of the agency website.Coordinate and manage vendors, including the Agency and/or private web designers, graphic designers, and photographers to ensure work is done in a timely and cost effective manner.Supervise the development of and write news releases for distribution, print and electronic media.Evaluating trends, assessing new data, and keeping up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques.Creating and implementing tailored marketing plans based on organizational needs.Shaping brand standards and creating procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate.Supervising the department's daily workflow, assigning projects, and monitoring deadlines.Developing exceptional and well-crafted copy that moves programs & fundraising initiatives forward.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, and other relevant fields.A minimum of 5 years’ digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social, and emerging technologies.A solid understanding of design, copy, and web practices.Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.Must be a creative and strategic thinker.Skill level as typically achieved through a minimum of five years fundraising experience with an emphasis on corporate, individual, annual gifts.Three years of previous experience in team leadership and program management and familiarity with fundraising software to track donors and measure progress against goals.Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent writing and grammatical and communication skills.Knowledge of graphic design skills and publishing techniques.Software skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.Passionate about Agency’s mission and able to promote and communicate our philosophy, mission and values to external and internal stakeholders.Details
