The Head of Customer Marketing is our chief architect in driving our overall strategy to grow sales and net revenue in our B2C sales team. This role will lead the Sales Strategy and Category Development teams to develop and execute strategies using fact-based data metrics, deploying

customer-driven shopper marketing and providing clear direction to internal teams for their categories/customers.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 2 to 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

Oversight of the Sales Strategy team which leads the architecture of portfolio strategy, including launch and deployment of new products, with a clear plan to launch support, customer reach, and geography; provides leadership in shopper marketing at key strategic customers and provides the team with direction for their category.

Oversight of the Category Development team which provides insights into category performance, ensuring launches are consistent with Retailers needs and expectations; owns all data (syndicated, customer, consumer) and the relationships and budgets associated with ensuring Dole is at the forefront of fact-based selling; sales analytics and business intelligence; understanding of our performance and trends in the marketplace.

Forward thinking and ensuring our data comes alive in storytelling.

Creation and deployment of overall sales plan, including volume metrics by category and customer; chief architect of slotting and shopper marketing; deployment of trade.

Collaborates closely with Leadership, Marketing, Field Sales, Finance and Operations to align strategies with overall business goals

Leads and builds a high performing sales strategy and category development team; provides guidance, mentorship, and professional development to team members

QualificationsExperience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

10+ years of experience driving sales strategy/planning, category analytics, and shopper marketing in a FMCG environment

Headquarter and field sales and/or brand marketing experience strongly preferred

Strong financial acumen, including in-depth financial analysis and resulting impact to business; Bottoms/up Budget building and creating targets.

Extensive expertise of syndicated data (Nielsen and/or Circana IRI) and shopper data (IRI Panel, Numerator and retailer loyalty data such as 84.51 and Dunnhumby)

Proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

MBA or advanced degree is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 20-25% travel as needed

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $210,000 to $240,000
