Responsibilities

Director of Segment Marketing develops and implements marketing plans, experiences and campaigns for specific targeted segments based on the segmentation strategy and targeting objectives of the company. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing & Brand and works collaboratively with internal and external teams to identify, target and create campaigns and content towards this identified segments (multicultural segments, specific demographics defined segments, other special targets). Partners with offer strategy teams and business planning to review potential promotion/pricing strategies, business tracking and analysis.

The Director of Segment Marketing function requires to play a strong cross-functional role and work in partnership with the rest of the organization to create specific programs and campaigns for the different segments; partners with insights team on segmentation and understanding this segment's needs, and with the product management team on product roadmap based on the competitive landscape to support differentiated value proposition and experiences within these segments.

  • Drives the development of Marketing and Communication plan by each segment throughout the customer journey and customers lifecycle, in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Execute marketing strategies to support go to market plans, based on the positioning strategy, the messaging and creative strategy to these specific targeted segments.
  • Drives the Segmentation and targeting execution in alignment with the media & insights team.
  • Drives the marketing team to develop growth opportunities based on segmentation analysis and follows up on KPI's by segment, to proactively proposes creative solutions to impact positively business KPI's for these targets.
  • Develop marketing plans to support monetization of the product roadmap within this segments, considering competitive analysis and market insights.
  • Drives marketing and creative support for content creation, look & feel for UI/UX to deliver effective messaging & campaigns to impact KPI's and growth in multicultural segments.
  • Design strategies and campaigns that improve positively our brand indicators, support strategies to increase awareness & consideration from different segments, and the development and delivery of customer engagement tactics, community outreach through marketing programs.
  • Drive, manage and coordinate execution of marketing tactics to impact various segments in highly competitive areas, under penetrated segments or underperforming markets to improve market share, maximize revenue, increase customer lifetime value, and minimize churn.
  • Manages the development of creative & marketing tactics that support events, partnerships, and sponsorships strategies to drive sales, customer engagement and brand exposure within this segment.
    • Tracks performance and effectiveness of all efforts developed within the team scope.
    • Drives improvement plan of the customer journey in relation with the segments and targets identified and what's relevant to them.
    • Ensure the right level of project planning, concept development, research, writing, editing, proofreading, while interacting and directing the work of external agencies and internal resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related relevant fields; MBA or relevant master's degree (preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, segment management, marketing communications, or product marketing.
  • Exceptional business understanding and decision-making, leadership skills, communication, and interpersonal skills, to work with executives within the leadership team and multi-functional partners across the organization; driving results by generating the right level of influence and buy in from key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in the marketing, communications, or marketing to segments area.
  • Creative thinker; idea generator.
  • Solid teaming and collaboration skills; good listener & influential to others.
  • Results and action-oriented, with the ability to translate results into proactive measures
  • Strong and effective project management skills and the ability to lead and direct internal and external resources with direct or indirect reporting structure.
