Cheddar News is looking for a talented and driven A1/Audio Mixer to join our broadcastproduction studio crew in New York City. The role will be involved in nearly every technicalaspect of creating and executing a live television program. The ideal candidate should be ateam player who is able to mix easily and work effectively in our highly collaborative team.Responsibilities Include:-Set up and mixing for a variety of live and pretaped productions.-Quality assurance for all audio sources.-Creative influence to enhance the production value with a selection of music and/or othereffects.-Consulting and collaborating with the directors and producers to establish the sound/feel of our programming.
- Understanding of signal processing and workflow.
- A track record of escalating responsibilities and/or accomplishments in a broadcast controlroom, audio recording studio, or audio post-production environment.
- Working knowledge of Dante audio networking and Solid State Logic consoles a plus.
