Cheddar News creates a new style of broadcast and streaming content aimed at millennials. We create innovative and dynamic programming that covers the people and events that shape our world.
We are looking for a talented and driven Technical Associate to join our team in New York City. The candidate will be involved in nearly every technical aspect of creating and executing a live television program. He or she will work to bring a broadcast to air. The ideal candidate should be a team player who is able to mix easily and work effectively in our scrappy and highly collaborative team.
Responsibilities May Include:
● Adjusting cameras, lighting, and microphones in Cheddar News’ Manhattan office.
● Some handheld camera work.
● 4-Channel playback operator in a live control room environment
● 3-Channel Graphics playout (Xpression) in a live control room environment
● Assist in various aspects of a live television control room
● Running audio for a live programming
● Excellent multitasker capable of operating multiple pieces of control room equipment at one time (i.e. audio board/video playback/robotic cameras).
● Extremely well organized and focussed under high-pressure breaking news conditions.
● Familiarity with live graphics, cameras, audio consoles, or playback systems.
● Basic working knowledge of video switchers and/or audio boards.
● A passion for business news, technology, media, and culture
