We have an exciting opportunity for a high energy and creative Digital & Marketing Technology Specialist to join our Digital Operations team.

The Digital & Marketing Technology Specialist is a critical role within the team and responsible for working with our conferences and events teams, digital operations group, event marketing group, and design & brand group to ensure the smooth operations of building and maintain ASME’s industry event websites. This person will help achieve industry event program goals, identify areas for improvement on the website, and implement methodologies & process plans related to the overall management and execution of technology strategy and operations.


  • Manage and execute the implementation and maintenance for multiple event websites across the full event lifecycle stages.
  • Execute the production workflows for updates to website content, images, and multimedia and provide production support.
  • Work with the appropriate CMS to build out new event sites or pages.
  • Build, update, and review external event tool webpages to ensure they are created correctly and integrate with main event website.
  • Manage data integrity points in accordance with established event policies and processes and ensure tracking/analytics are in place.
  • Maintain on-site resources area with supplied content.
  • Deploy lead generation forms as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations counterpart(s) to identify and document new marketing technology, enhancement and content needed to maintain and grow the event website.
  • Work with UI/UX and Development to build out plans for enhancements to the functionality of the websites, including integrations.
  • Manage production timelines to ensure goals are met and work is executed accordingly.
  • Ensure quality control and digital best practices are met on all assigned sites.
  • Work with our SEO Specialist to perform ongoing keyword research
  • Monitor site performance to identify, document, and/or troubleshoot issues.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of demonstrated success in systems management in a growth environment with strong knowledge of Desktop and Mobile best practices including design, UI/UX, production and SEO.

    The ideal candidate will present other important qualifications and competencies such as:

  • Communication — Exceptional verbal and written skills are required.
  • Project Management — Strong project management skills with the ability to concurrently manage multiple work streams and overlapping deadlines is required. Attention to detail and the ability to remain organized are essential.
  • Collaboration — Collaboration across a broad range of ASME staff will be critical in this role.
  • Technical Skills
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
    • Experience working with CMS.
    • Experience with Kentico or Hubspot is a plus.
    • Knowledge of the following platforms is a plus: Cvent, Pheedloop, or Vfair.
