Our Content Editors play an important role in helping CR produce best-in-class, reader-focused service content across digital, print, interactive, social, video, and emerging platforms.

As both manager and mentor, you will work with writers to shape stories and edit content to produce award-winning and trusted guidance for consumers on topics that resonate with new and diverse audiences, ranging from how your car can make the air cleaner - practical tips on choosing the best antivirus software - and understanding new CDC guideline -, for example.


* Assign, edit and direct content production on complex product categories and consumer issues for print, digital, video, and social platforms

* Manage and mentor staff writers, editing and revising work as needed to meet deadlines and organizational strategy

* Collaborate with teams across our organization (Test Engineers, Market Analysts, Survey, Advocacy, Communications, Statistics, Design, and other key stakeholders) to maximize resources and consumer impact

* Pursue enterprise stories, working closely with teams across the organization

* As needed, act as both in-house spokesperson and CR representative for media outreach, along with tradeshows and industry events, as needed

* May act as on-camera subject-matter expert for CR video platforms

* Summarize and interpret data and market information to fuel reader-focused stories


* You have significant experience writing and editing the work of others and meeting rigid deadlines

* You can translate statistical and technical data into accurate and compelling content in a range of media formats

* You understand the unique content needs and conventions across all platforms including print, digital, video and social media

* You have experience hiring, training, and developing staff

* You excel at motivating a staff of professionals to achieve high performance
