The newly formed Content Updates team ensures that our 2.9 million members and more than 13 million unique visitors to CRO.org have access to product content that is up-to-date, SEO optimized and inclusive of the latest marketplace trends. (We review over 8500 products and services).
We’re looking for 2 highly motivated writer/reporters eager to learn the ropes of CR and service journalism. Reporting to the Managing Editor, Content Updates, you’ll also collaborate with CR’s product testers and in-house writers and experts from our Home, Tech, Health, Food, Cars, Money and Shopping teams.
Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position that is eligible for remote work.
How You'll Make An Impact:
On a daily basis, you’ll collaborate with our product specialists, test engineers and writers and editors to update and maintain various forms of product content (articles, buying guides, product descriptions and reviews) across multiple product categories in our digital portfolio. You’ll also get the opportunity to build your consumer journalism skills by assisting in the reporting and writing of new product and service stories and, working closely with CR’s search engine optimization (SEO) team to optimize content for search and discovery.

- You have a relevant degree. You have a BS/BA with a major or concentration in journalism.
- You are data-driven. You understand how to write content based on the principles of Search Engine Optimization.
- You can break down silos. You are at your most creative when working collaboratively and seeking out diverse perspectives.
