As a CoStar QA Engineer on the Data Management team you will play a key role in testing data driven processes and software that support CoStar Group’s largest brands including, CoStar Suite, LoopNet and Homes.com.   You will deeply understand how the software that you test impacts the quality of data presented in critical applications.  We firmly believe that what separates a good QA Engineer from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule options:

  • 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Responsibilities

  • Designs, documents and implements procedures and techniques that are consistent with departmental SQA Methodology for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of business systems and SDLC processes
  • Creates and maintains SQA deliverables including test plans, test cases, test data, project test progress and release reports, application turnover documents and test schedules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree  
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers 
  • 2+ years of experience working on development and maintenance of Enterprise-Level applications
  • 2+ years of experience with functional testing either manually or via automation tools.
  • 2+ years of experience with TFS, Git, Visual Studio, or other Microsoft tools
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile environment with solid understanding on scrum and sprint cycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)
  • Experience with CypressJS, Gherkin and/or Cucumber
  • Experience with writing T-SQL queries and/or MongoDB queries
  • Experience with testing/debugging tools including Chrome Debugger, Postman, Fiddler, Kibana
